Brianna hopes to help clients develop tools to use outside of therapy, so that when their sessions are over, they can continue to use these tools in their daily lives and into the future.
Education -
Brianna has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (concentration in Forensics) from Arizona State University, with minors in Spanish, and Criminology and Criminal Justice. She is currently earning her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver. Her expected graduation date is Spring of 2026.
Experience -
Brianna has experience volunteering in school settings and has recently volunteered in an elementary school, helping K-4th grade students practice reading skills. She appreciates and most enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults, especially those who are seeking care for anxiety, depression and trauma. Brianna currently practices at the University of Denver’s Counseling and Educational Services Clinic, as well.
She has also earned continuing education credits (and certificates) in “Psychological First Aid,”; “Growing Up with Traumatic Grief,”; “Therapeutic Interventions for Young Foster Children and Their Caregivers,”; “A Developmental Approach to Trauma-Informed Practice with Crossover Youth,”; “Grounding a Teen Experiencing a Flashback,”; “Tailoring Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Children with IDD,”; and “Strategies and Innovations in using CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths)-Trauma and FANS (Family Assessment of Needs and Strengths)-Trauma in Practice” provided by The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), online.
Therapeutic Style -
Brianna typically tries to be integrative in her practice, utilizing Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Dilectical-Behavioral therapeutic modalities, while also keeping in mind current Trauma-Informed and Multicultural Care practices. She also puts collaboration with clients at the forefront of her work, to ensure that the care process is representative of the client’s thoughts, feelings, goals, and more.

In addition to working with clients, Brianna likes to be outdoors, bake and cook, try new recipes, spend time with friends and family, watch movies, learn more about languages, and work on projects such as crochet and scrapbooking.
